It's A Free Country

Since actress Stacey Dash has announced her support for Mitt Romney she has experienced plenty of backlash from people via Twitter. Mostly because she is a Black women, who is NOT voting to re-elect our Black President.

Everyone has their opinion on President Obama and Mitt Romney and there is nothing wrong with expressing your feelings regarding each candidate. Healthy conversation is always good. But what bothers me is when people get mad at someone who goes against what someone else feels is right.

Stacey Dash has the right to vote for whoever she chooses, as we do all. So why do people find it necessary to bash her because she's supporting Romney? At the end of the day this is a free country...(kind of) so people are going to vote for the person they feel is best for the job.

The lesson here applies to more than just the election. In life people are going to make their own decisions and we shouldn't bash them because what they choose is different from what you or the masses think.

My point:  leave people alone. Everyone lives their life differently and make choices based on what they feel is right for them- NOT YOU.

Side Note: As I previously wrote about in another blog post, Stand For Something, I have a lot of respect for a person who can stand up and state their opinion, regardless of what others will think of them.

Whether I agree with their choice or not, I feel having the courage to do that speaks volumes about that person's character.
